Frequently asked questions.

The questions donors, partners, and service members ask us most. Can't find your answer? Contact the team.

What exactly does the Phoenix Foundation fund?
We fund the mental and psychological recovery of service members — trauma therapy, PTSD treatment, clinical rehabilitation, and the practical support needed to return to family, work, and stability. We deliberately do not fund equipment, drones, or large-scale humanitarian logistics.
How is the Foundation different from other charities?
Large organisations move equipment and humanitarian cargo, and do it well. Our mandate is singular and deliberately narrow: the recovery of the human being. We coordinate clinicians, charities, and units into a single recovery pathway around each person.
Where does my contribution go?
The Foundation does not collect donations on this website. Each active initiative is funded through its own dedicated campaign on a trusted fundraising platform. When you choose an initiative, you are taken directly to its campaign page, where your contribution goes straight to that cause.
Which countries do you work in?
We began in the United Kingdom and have extended into NATO partner nations, including Poland and the Baltic states. We are now opening our first programmes inside Ukraine, where the need is most urgent.
Why is the Foundation based in the United Kingdom?
International donors and institutional funders place their trust in accountable, well-governed British charities. A UK base gives our partners the governance, transparency, and audit standards they expect — the foundation from which we extend our work outward.
Is the Foundation audited?
Yes. Our accounts are independently examined each year and filed with the relevant charity regulator. Every appeal is ring-fenced to its purpose, and prior-year reports are available on request.
How can organisations partner with you?
Foundations, clinics, corporate donors, and institutional funders can co-fund named initiatives, deliver care through our referral network, or fund recovery at scale. See our Partner With Us page to start a conversation.
